You turn your head to check and see if the troll you had been talking to before was still there. Alas, the Hireling was nowhere to be found and had most likely fled at the first sign of interruption. Muttering a curse under your breath, you shoulder your kill, a heafty stagbeast and adjust the grip on your weapon. Tossing your crooked horns in a sign of agitation, you called to the trees. “If you’ve come for my kill, I have plenty to share.” Your light yet commanding voice carried easily through the trees, “However, if you’ve come for trouble, I’m more than happy to oblige.” You were used to being targeted by other highbloods due to your gender, but had long ago learned how to defend yourself against such aggression.
Oh. It seems that you weren’t careful enough. Hiding behind the tree’s leafs, you peek - It’s a tall, female highblood troll. This might get dangerous. She knows you’re up there, so might as well just show yourself now. You jump off the tree with one hand on the small grub, so she won’t fall off your shoulder.
You slowly approach the troll, but not too much, just enough for her to see you clearly.
“I’m not here for a fight, nor for your kill. Your scent and my curiosity are what brought me here.”

I think it’d be great because personally some songs really make me think about these things and it puts me in the mood and inspires me to rp uvu

You glance behind yourself, ears perked and body wrapped in a lush purple robe befitting one of your station. It’s all a ruse of course, but you still look nice. You were certain you heard movement, different from that of the usual gait of the beasts that inhabit this forest. Beads clicking in your hair, you tilt your head to try and take a better listen, your indigo shrouded body motionless but for the tightening grip on your massive poleaxe. (Edit: Rewritten for better clarity and match to the prompt.)
As you walk, the scent gets stronger. It’s close, you can feel it. You decide to climb a tree, it’s safer there and also makes it easier for you to escape in case it’s something dangerous. You tried to be silent as much as possible, it would be a bad thing if “it” found you first.
The trees in this area are large, their branches are so long, they all get tangled in each others’, making it easier for you to move from tree to tree without having to jump. The only problem are the leafs. You need to be careful.

It is time. Time for you to stop being lazy and go get food for yourself and your child. Unfortunately you don’t know where your friends are so you don’t have anyone to take care of her. You’ll have to take the grub with you.
You put on your hood and carefully place the grub in it, near your neck. It’s the safest place you can put her in without having her falling off when you’re chasing and killing beasts.
You go outside. There’s only darkness, cold, and mist. Like every Alternian night.
Alternian forests are a scary place to be, there’s beasts lurking everywhere - on the floor, climbing on trees, and some are even right above you. If you’re not careful, you might get killed… Well, maybe not you, but you’ve got to keep an eye on the small grub.
There’s a few scents in the air, they’re familiar, they belong to small beasts - except one of them. It’s a new one. You’re too curious so you decide to follow it.
